Train is a video of a train passing by. First the viewer sees the view of the track with a modern estate in the background, slowly a train enters from the left in a constant slow tempo. After a while the train exits and straight after another train enters, this scenario repeats itself as the viewer’s sense of balance is disturbed. One can literally get the feeling of vertigo from looking at the screen. Just as one thinks the video has finally come to an end yet another train now enters from the right, and the cycle continues.
The video was shown at the Void Gallery projected onto a free hanging screen. The windows of the gallery was covered with neutral density filter, thus enabling the viewer to look onto the railway at the back the gallery.
