Assembly installation
The idea was to move Primrose Hill from a upper class northwest London to Stepney City the poorest area in London
A 360 degree panoramic image of Primrose Hill was installed in a room on the roof of the Assembly exhibition. The installation consists of a curbed back-projection screen onto which a panoramic image is projected from nine slide projectors. The projection screen was 7m long and 1m high suspended from the ceiling. It was installed in a room that was 7m square. The viewer could move around the screen and interact with the piece. The viewer was invited to engage in looking into the image as if it was the “real” view from Primrose Hill.
The installation was made for the Assembly exhibition at Stepney City in Whitechapel, London. |
